Snowflake are the fastest-growing cloud-based software company we’ve ever seen, breaking records with a massive IPO in 2020. They had over $900m VC funding, 2k + customers, and were achieving c300% YOY growth (400%+ in Europe). Entering the European market in only 2017, they have already scaled to a team of 150 + people in 7 countries and 240+ customers. With such aggressive growth comes the pain of scaling at speed whilst not compromising on exceptional execution.

THE PROCESS

Snowflake only hire a A-players – driven, professionally sales trained, with a proven, new business track record… generally Enterprise reps at the top of their game! These people are almost certainly not active, so headhunting in a passive, candidate-driven market is part art, part science.
 
Armed with a compelling message (thanks to the collaboration with the EMEA leadership team) we took the campaign across 7 countries, engaging and nurturing the talent pool so that we could jump on every opportunity to tempt them away from their current roles.

Working directly with the hiring managers was a true partnership, allowing us to adapt quickly to changes and involve them when needed to influence the candidate engagement – after all, hiring the best sales and engineering talent is a two-way street.

Several of Snowflake most high profile hires in Europe needed some serious persuasion but are delighted they made the move.
