Maxio

Maxio is a subscription and revenue management platform that helps growing businesses offer flexible pricing, and streamline financial operations. B2B SaaS companies use Maxio to manage any subscription model, calculate revenue, and generate custom reports (that investors love).

In 2021, Battery Ventures led a $150m growth investment round for both SaaSOptics and Chargify, who’s merger led to the creation of Maxio in 2022. Following the merger they set out to hire 115 new positions worldwide.

THE PROCESS

On the back of large VC funding by Battery Ventures, as they were about to announce the merger, Sally-Ann O’Callaghan joined as the Regional Director for EMEA, with ambitious goals – growing from 7-20 in 6 months.

 

With their EMEA HQ in Dublin, the first challenge was finding a way to compete with far more established brands. As more companies opt for Dublin over London, the war for talent is intense.

 

Add to that, Sally was new into the company, and still getting to know the culture... she was experienced at hiring (having built the commercial team at Dropbox) but wanted to work out what the best fit for Maxio would be. It took a bit of trial and error to find the best fit, but once everyone was agreed, we were flying.
